How to Block an Email Address

Blocking an email address can protect you from unwanted or harmful emails by preventing them from reaching your inbox. Here are the steps to block an email address:

  1. Log in to webmail e.g.
  2. On the top menu bar, click More to expand the drop-down menu, then click Settings.
  3. On the left menu bar, click Spam Filtering (1).
  4. Click on Blocked Senders (2) to add an email address to your Blocked Senders list.
  5. Enter the email address you want to block, then click Save.
  6. Click Save at the top of the content pane.

Click on the Blocked Sender Action drop-down menu and select an option to determine what happens to unwanted emails. Options include: None, Move to Junk Email Folder, Move to Deleted Items Folder, or Delete. The default setting is Move to Junk Email Folder.
